Taft attorneys Kristin Hardy, Art McMahon, and Anthony Ramicone were recognized by the Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO) for volunteering their time and legal expertise to local nonprofit organizations.
Hardy earned the Dayton Rising Star Award for her service to multiple PBPO nonprofit clients. She took the lead on several ongoing projects on behalf of these clients, amplifying their ability to make a positive impact on the communities they serve.
McMahon and Ramicone earned the Excellence in Nonprofit Service Award for their work with N.E.R.D.S., which develops students socially, educationally, and financially through hands-on learning activities. The nonprofit nominated them for creating its bylaws and other policies, along with contributing additional ideas to advance the organization.
Hardy is an attorney in Taft's Intellectual Property practice group. Her practice focuses on trademark clearance, trademark prosecution and enforcement, trademark litigation, copyrights and various IP infringement matters, as well as WIPO UDRP matters.
McMahon advises boards of directors and senior management of public companies on corporate governance and securities matters, including internal and governmental investigations, accounting restatements, FCPA and other anti-corruption matters, major business combinations, and compliance with SEC and stock exchange requirements.
Ramicone focuses his practice on business law. He advises private companies on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and corporate governance.
