On December 5, 2024, the Parliament passed the Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024 ("New Aircraft Act")1 replacing the Aircraft Act, 1934 ("Aircraft Act"), with an aim to modernise India's Aviation regulatory framework to align with international standards.

On 17 November, 2024 a total of 5,05,412 domestic passengers departed across the country via 3100 planes in a single day setting new records for Indian Civil Aviation Industry and creating mark across the global aviation landscape.

On December 5, 2024, the Parliament passed the Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024 ("BVV"), which replaces the near century old Aircraft Act, of 1934 ("Aircraft Act").
