The registrar of companies has issued a reminder that if the 2016 annual fee under article 391 of the Companies Law, which was due for payment by 30 June 2016, remains unpaid after 30 August 2016, a surcharge of €140 will be payable, bringing the total fee for the year to €490.

Article 327 of the Companies Law gives the registrar of companies power to strike a company off the register if it fails to pay the annual fee within a year of it becoming due.
