The Bulgarian customs officials have recently seized a considerable quantity of apparel bearing well-known brand names, believed to be counterfeit.

The officials at the Kapitan Petko Voyvoda checkpoint, southern Bulgaria, seized apparel bearing the marks of Nike, Adidas, Diesel, Boss, Puma and O'Neill. The sender of the goods was a Sofia-based company and the intended receiver was a Greek citizen in Thessaloniki, Greece.

A regular check of a truck travelling from Turkey to Finland at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Turkish border resulted in another seizure of counterfeit apparel, including 4,400 pieces of men's and women's underwear and over 2,200 shirts carrying the marks of Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Dolce & Gabanna and G-Star.
