From October 3 – 7, 2016, Startup Fashion Week ("SFW") took place in Toronto. SFW featured a variety of events including full-day conferences, runway showcases and workshops, all tailored to entrepreneurs and startups looking to make it in the fashion industry.
On October 4th, as part of SFW, Graham Topa of Aird & Berlis LLP ("A&B") participated in a panel discussion at SFW's "Business Fashion Conference" event, where he highlighted key legal considerations that entrepreneurs and founders in the fashion industry should be aware of while starting and growing their businesses.
A&B also hosted the "Fashion Career Forum" on October 5th, which featured two panel discussions on a variety of career options in the fashion industry, offering attendees insight into the fashion industry from an array of panelists with different industry experience.
