Canada Investment Immigration Programs

May 25, 2017 - Canada offers a wide range of investment immigration programs conferring permanent resident status. We review all programs under the Federal and Provincial streams.
Worldwide Immigration

The federal Canada Immigrant Investor Program was ended in 2014. Its replacement, the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program, although officially still operational, fails to compete with other developed countries in attracting high net worth immigration candidates.

federal Start-Up Visa Program has been similarly unsuccessful, creating the impression the federal government does not wish to compete in the industry.

However, many of Canada's provinces run their own investment programs, with the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program the only passive investment option.
