Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP, the Maples Group's law firm, is pleased to have advised Draper Esprit on the Irish corporate legal aspects of moving its listing to the main exchanges in both Dublin and London.

Draper Esprit is a technology-focused venture capital (VC) company, and one of the most active VC companies in Europe. Among the many companies the VC has backed are UiPath, Graphcore, Revolut, Cazoo, Ledger and Aircall.

Shares in the company have begun trading on London's Main Market with a secondary listing on Euronext Dublin, after the company shifted its listings from the AIM in London and the Euronext Growth Market. This move extends its shareholder base to a wider group of institutional investors, which enables further scaling and a greater cadence of investment, and allows it to better support portfolio companies as they grow. The move comes five years after Draper Esprit first listed on the AIM and what was then known as the ESM.

A team based in the firm's Irish office advised longstanding client Draper Esprit and was led by Patrick Quinlan, a Partner in the Irish Corporate practice.
