Our Corporate team has advised data consultancy JMAN and its founders in relation to a pre-sale group reorganisation and Baird Capital Global Private Equity team's investment in JMAN. JMAN delivers a range of solutions combining consulting, data science and data engineering capabilities.

The investment represents an opportunity to accelerate JMAN's range of data-led solutions for clients, as well as international growth, with a specific focus on North America.

The team advising JMAN was led by corporate partners Ragi Singh and Amar Adatia, principal associate Chris Letters, associates Santina Taylor and Alex Lakeland-Reed, trainee solicitor Alicia Dominique and legal apprentice Laura Pratt.

Commenting, Anush Newman, co-founder and CEO of JMAN, said:

"Given the importance of this investment to us we went through an exhaustive process to appoint the right adviser team. In particular we knew we needed lawyers who had the ability to handle to a complex pre-sale cross border reorganisation and management incentive plan, deep experience of the issues arising from having an Indian business, and the bandwidth and skillset to negotiate with multiple domestic and international PE bidders.

"In Ragi and his team we found exactly what we needed and more. It is not an exaggeration to say their prompt, clear and constructive advice and seemingly indefatigable stamina were absolutely key to us successfully closing this investment. Gowling WLG have become our trusted advisors."
