The permanent type of VISA is only for foreigners who want to stay in Serbia for a long period of time and do not plan to return to their native country in the near future or are willing to obtain the Serbian citizenship at some point.

What are the general requirements?

In order to apply for this visa, you need to meet one of the following conditions:

  1. You have lived without interruptions in Serbia for at least five years based on a r temporary residence permit;
  2. You have been married for at least three years to a Serbian citizen or a foreign citizen with permanent residence in Serbia;
  3. You are a minor staying temporarily in Serbia with one Serbian parent or one foreign parent with permanent residence (with the consent of the other parent);
  4. You have Serbian family links;
  5. You have been granted the permission for temporary residence due to humanitarian reasons or if this is in the interest of the Republic of Serbia.

Depending on the conditions of your VISA application, you will have to provide the corresponding documentation and for that, we are here to assist you.

The request for permanent residence is submitted to the registry desk of the Police Administration for the City of Belgrade.

FOR AN APPLICATION BASED ON FAMILY REUNIFICATION

  • Completed VISA application form
  • Proof of payment of VISA fees (around 65 €)
  • Photocopy of passport (pages with authorized temporary stays)
  • Two photos (size 4 x 3 cm)
  • Medical certificate (issued on the form of the Serbian Medical Society)
  • Certificate or other proof of education
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of means for support
  • Proof of ownership, lease or other basis of dwelling
  • Proof of kinship with citizen of the Republic of Serbia or permanent residence foreign citizen

FOR AN APPLICATION BASED ON MARRIAGE

  • Completed VISA application form
  • Proof of payment of VISA fees (around 65 €)
  • Photocopy of passport (pages with authorized temporary stays)
  • Two photos (size 4 x 3 cm)
  • Medical certificate (issued on the form of the Serbian Medical Society)
  • Certificate or other proof of education
  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • Photocopy of ruling of divorce of previous marriage (for both spouses)
  • Photocopy of birth certificate for children
  • Proof of means for support
  • Citizenship of the spouse (not older than six months)
  • Proof of ownership, lease or other basis of dwelling

FOR AN APPLICATION BASED ON EMPLOYMENT

  • Completed VISA application form
  • Proof of payment of VISA fees (around 65 €)
  • Photocopy of passport (pages with authorized temporary stays)
  • Two photos (size 4 x 3 cm)
  • Medical certificate (issued on the form of the Serbian Medical Society)
  • Certificate or other proof of education
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of means for support
  • Proof of ownership, lease or other basis of dwelling
  • Proof of kinship with citizen of the Republic of Serbia or permanently staying foreign citizen
