Less than a year after U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) released a revised version of the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form, it has published another updated version of the Form I-9 with a revision date of 07/17/17 N. Note that all employers must use this version for new hires and reverifications beginning on September 18, 2017.

The Trump administration's immigration-related agenda will have an impact on all employers, regardless of whether an employer has any non-U.S. citizen employees. This is especially true when it comes to verifying employees' employment eligibility through Form I-9.
