Carrie Cohen was featured in the New York Law Journal's coverage of the trial date postponement for client Sylvia Ash, the Brooklyn state Supreme Court justice charged with obstructing justice during a federal investigation into the state-chartered credit union whose board she used to chair.
According to Carrie, Ash is undergoing physical therapy following a "pretty serious" surgery in January, adding that though she can now walk with the help of a cane, she is still awaiting medical clearance for a separate knee-replacement procedure sometime this summer.
"A trial in the fall will probably be the earliest" realistic trial date, Carrie said. "I think the summer will be a little more problematic."
