A very large 3D printer is being developed to create temporary housing structures. Researchers at University of Nantes in France have developed a 3D printer that is capable of printing a 3x3x3 meter object. The printer can print a structure in 20 to 30 minutes. They plan to use this technology to rapidly provide housing for victims of natural disasters. Looking forward, the team plans to create a 3D printer that is capable of printing a structure with unlimited length and width measurements, and a maximum height of 7 meters. This technology could lead to much quicker recovery in the event of natural disasters.
