On November 3, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination
Council ("FFIEC") released its Cybersecurity Assessment General Observations.
The FFIEC performed a cybersecurity assessment at more than 500
community financial institutions to evaluate the institutions'
preparedness to mitigate cybersecurity threats. The FFIEC's
General Observations describe common themes and issues that
institutions might consider when assessing their own
preparedness.
