The CFPB named several individuals to key leadership positions.

The CFPB named several individuals to key leadership positions.

  • Zixta Q. Martinez was tapped to become Deputy Director overseeing operations. Since 2011, Ms. Martinez has served at the CFPB in the capacities of (i) Senior Advisor for Supervision, Enforcement and Fair Lending, (ii) Associate Director for External Affairs and (iii) Assistant Director for the Office of Community Affairs.
  • Karen Andre was named Associate Director for Consumer Education and External Affairs. Ms. Andre most recently served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Agency Personnel.
  • Jan Singelmann will serve as Chief of Staff. Mr. Singelmann most recently served as Counsel to Senate Banking Committee Chair Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
  • Erie Meyer will fill the role of Chief Technologist. Ms. Meyer previously served as (i) Senior Advisor on Policy Planning to FTC Chair Lina Khan, (ii) FTC Chief Technologist and (iii) former FTC Technology Advisor to Commissioner Rohit Chopra.
