Daniel J. Davis was named CFTC General Counsel. Mr. Davis recently served as Special Counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Proskauer Rose LLP.

Mr. Davis recently served as Special Counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Proskauer Rose LLP. Prior to that, he worked at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division. Mr. Davis began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
