On 23 June 2016, 41 years after the 1975 EEC referendum, the UK voters will decide whether the UK remains within the European Union ("EU"). The decision is, of course, of significance to everyone in the EU and even beyond. It is of paramount importance to the financial services industry.

In the event of a vote to leave, please join Mayer Brown as we provide an analysis of the consequences of a Brexit result for financial institutions. We will look to examine:

  • What are the next steps for the UK Government? For the EU?
  • What are the potential effects on financial institutions doing business in the UK?
  • What should financial institutions be doing now?

Please join Mayer Brown partner Mark Compton and Of Counsel Alex Carr as they discuss this outcome on the day of the referendum results.

If the country votes to remain, this call will not go ahead.
