Czech News - October 1997 - New Laws And Amendments In Draft - Excise Tax Act

The Lower House of the Czech Parliament approved an amendment which raises the excise tax on petrol and cigarettes. The rate for one pack of cigarettes will increase by CZK 2.20 and tax on petrol will be raised by CZK 1.28 per litre. Also, excise taxes on alcohol and beer were increased.
