Chile's Financial Stability Central Bank Warns Of Cybersecurity Risks

On November 15, Chile's Central Bank (Banco Central de
Chile) issued the Financial Stability Report
corresponding to the second semester of 2018, which warned about
the cybersecurity risks to private financial institutions and the
importance of maintaining adequate security systems to prevent data
breaches, critical disruptions, and information loss in Chile's
financial system (source document in Spanish). No systemic
cybersecurity attacks have occurred, although there were some
reports of temporary interruptions to bank operations because of
attacks on digital platforms.
