Online Safety: Navigating Compliance Across the UK, the EU and the US

Morris is a Partner in the Competition, Regulation and Trade group. He is a highly-experienced competition, regulatory and trade lawyer, with a particular focus in relation to EU regulation and behavioural matters, State aid / subsidy control and international trade law.

In the EU regulatory sphere, Morris has significant expertise across a variety of areas, including the EU's new suite of tech regulation and the emerging AI regulatory framework as well as consumer goods and energy / environmental regulation, and has represented clients in major litigation before the EU Courts in relation to regulatory instruments and decisions in recent years.

Rachel is a Senior Associate with a wide range of experience working with clients across the media and entertainment sector on their most high-value and strategic projects, including key players in TV and film, music, live entertainment, gaming, e-commerce, advertising and social media. This has included advising on content acquisition and distribution, production agreements, gaming investments, advertising and marketing arrangements, e-commerce/digital agreements and social media arrangements.

Rachel regularly advises on regulatory compliance, including new and emerging legislation and regulations (such as the Online Safety Act and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act).

Christopher is an associate in Herbert Smith Freehills' New York office. Christopher's practice focuses on US regulatory matters, including US economic sanctions, export controls, and antitrust issues, government investigations, and international arbitration. He has represented clients in arbitrations conducted under the ICC, ICSID, and ICDR-AAA rules in various sectors, including, construction, alternative energy, pharmaceuticals, telecom, and the oil and gas sectors.
