The Second Chamber of the Dutch parliament recently adopted the Offshore Wind Energy Bill. The bill proposes a new legal framework for the creation of offshore wind farms. Where government subsidies are available, the decision making on the permits and subsidies for the wind farm will be combined. The bill is expected to enter into force on 1 July 2015. The tendering process for subsidies for the Borssele I and II areas is expected to start in December 2015.
