South Africa

Arbitration in Africa is growing as a dispute resolution mechanism as a result of the continent's increasing importance as a foreign investment destination, the expansion of intra-African trade and trading under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

Regional arbitration has therefore found increasing prominence as a method of effectively settling foreign and intra-African investment-related disputes. This includes the World Trade Organisation's Dispute Settlement Body and the procedures under the dispute settlement mechanism established under AfCFTA.

You are invited to our Arbitration in Africa webinar in which our speakers will unpack arbitration trends in the context of Mauritius, Nigeria and Rwanda and discuss ways in which foreign investors doing business on the continent can effectively manage risk in the face of an evolving business environment.

Our esteemed panel, which will be moderated by ENSafrica Executive Celia Becker, includes the following experts:

  • Adedapo Tunde-Olowu | Partner at AELEX in Nigeria
  • Désiré Kamanzi | Executive and Head of ENSafrica Rwanda
  • Thierry Koenig | Executive and Head of ENSafrica Mauritius

Please join us for this informative and timely discussion.
