Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP is pleased to announce
the launch of ExemptOrgResource.com, a new online resource
for information and insight on the unique legal issues impacting
nonprofit organizations. The site is designed to keep the
nonprofit, tax-exempt organization community up-to-date on legal
developments, changing regulations and good practices.
The site brings firm-developed content, such as alerts, blog posts
and presentations, together with useful external resources.
The site also contains information on a variety of other
legal issues facing nonprofit organizations, including tax,
employment, employee benefits, investigations, litigation and real
estate.
Patterson Belknap is one of only a few U.S. law firms with a
practice group devoted exclusively to tax-exempt organizations, and
has the largest such practice in New York City. The firm has
represented charities, foundations and other tax-exempt
organizations since its founding nearly a century ago in all
aspects of their operations and management. Today, lawyers in every
practice area of the firm have substantial experience advising
exempt organizations.
"Patterson Belknap has provided counsel to tax-exempt
organizations for nearly a century, and we feel that sharing our
collective knowledge of the distinct legal issues that affect these
organizations can be a great resource to the community," said
Robin Krause, chair of the Firm's Tax-Exempt Organizations
practice. "We are excited to do that in a format that puts a
variety of information that our clients and friends need at their
fingertips."
