Former Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Vice President Ken Atkins Joins Firm
RALEIGH (January 14) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Ken Atkins to the firm's Raleigh office. Atkins joined Kilpatrick Townsend on January 6th as Director of Economic Development. He will be a member of Kilpatrick Townsend's Real Estate Team in the Corporate, Finance & Real Estate Department.

Atkins comes to Kilpatrick Townsend after working with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce for 16 years as Vice President of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of Wake County Economic Development. In Atkins' roles he has been instrumental in the recruitment of hundreds of new companies and thousands of new jobs to the Triangle. He also has been key in helping retain and expand countless existing Wake County businesses.
Atkins, a Raleigh native, is Past President of the North Carolina Economic Developers Association and was North Carolina's Economic Developer of the Year in 2007. He has been named among the "Best of the Breed Award -- The State's Best Industry Recruiters: Who They Are and How They Bag the Big "Buffaloes" by Business North Carolina. Atkins earned a Certified Economic Developer designation in 1988. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Economics.
