Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that
DANIEL J. BARSKY
has joined as a partner in our Miami office.
Mr. Barsky is an intellectual property attorney who regularly represents clients in intellectual property (IP) licensing and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and multinational licensing agreements, as well as information technology, data privacy, cyberfraud and data breach matters.
Mr. Barsky's clients call upon him to oversee, coordinate and maintain multinational trademark portfolios encompassing thousands of marks registered in more than 100 countries, including the monitoring and enforcement of the portfolios as well as multinational, anti-counterfeiting activities.
In addition to his transactional and counseling work, Mr. Barsky maintains an active, nationwide IP litigation practice and has represented clients in patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false advertising and trade secret theft matters.
Mr. Barsky is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and regularly prosecutes patents, trademarks and copyrights for clients.

"His background and experience complement the existing well-rounded, national Intellectual Property team and will further enhance our capabilities in the important Miami market."
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Mr. Barsky is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches patent litigation and is the university's faculty supervisor for the USPTO's Law School Clinic Program.
Mr. Barsky earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.S. in biological chemistry and economics from Bates College.
