The global law firm Jones Day announces that Lee DeJulius has been appointed Partner-in-Charge of its New York Office. Mr. DeJulius, partner in the Firm's Business & Tort Litigation and Issues & Appeals practices, was previously Partner-in-Charge of the Firm's Pittsburgh Office. Mr. DeJulius succeeds Wesley Johnson, who has served as Partner-in-Charge of the New York Office since 2013, and who will continue as a partner in the Firm's M&A Practice.

Mr. DeJulius, a former law clerk to United States Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist, focuses on trial and appellate matters. He has tried cases to juries, judges, and arbitration panels. Mr. DeJulius has appeared in dozens of appellate matters, arguing appeals in several different federal circuit courts and state supreme courts, and has served as counsel of record before the U.S. Supreme Court. Most recently, he successfully argued for a unanimous reversal in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on a billion dollar dispute involving a consent decree with the Pennsylvania Attorney General.

"I am honored to be appointed Partner-in-Charge in New York," said Mr. DeJulius. "I look forward to continuing to provide our clients with excellent representation not only with the great team in New York, but throughout our offices worldwide."

Mr. DeJulius, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, joined the Firm as a summer associate in 2001 and following clerkships with Judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Chief Justice Rehnquist, rejoined Jones Day in 2004. He is a member of the Firm's Advisory Committee and Partnership Committee.

Mr. DeJulius is an elected member of the American Law Institute, is listed in Best Lawyers in America (2016-2020), and was named to Law360's Healthcare MVP list in 2014 (one of only five attorneys named nationally). He also was part of a trial team in the Royal Court of Justice in London, England, that won, among other awards, "Litigation Team of the Year," The Lawyer Awards; "Dispute Resolution Team of the Year," Legal Business Awards; and "Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team of the Year," Legal Week British Legal Awards.
