OAKLAND, Calif.; Feb. 3, 2026 – Donahue Fitzgerald, the East Bay Area’s largest law firm, announces the addition of Mark Epstein as a partner in the Real Estate practice group.

Epstein has decades of experience focusing on real estate, business, lending and title insurance litigation. He has a solid track record of successfully representing clients in disputes that involve real property, title, escrow, commercial landlord-tenant, mortgage lending, easement, boundary line, encroachment and lien priority claims. Epstein’s clients include property owners, developers, fractional interest holders, title insurers, banks, and other financial institutions, as well as real estate professionals. He also represents business owners in contract disputes and commercial litigation. He joins Donahue Fitzgerald after 16 years as a partner with Wendel Rosen, which combined with Fennemore in 2022.
With deep roots in the East Bay, Epstein is a board member of the Oakland 100 Club and has served as vice president of Rebuilding Together Oakland / East Bay. He is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association, the California Land Title Association and the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NAIOP – Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Epstein was an adjunct professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law where he co-taught a course on real estate transactions and litigation. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco, School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Davis.
