On Friday 13th September 2019, our partner Costas Stamatiou delivered a seminar on "Ship Arrests and other interim measures" at the amphitheater located at the Limassol head office of Elias Neocleous & Co. LLC.
Mr. Stamatiou analysed the conditions for the arrest and release of ships by the Cyprus Admiralty Court as well as the conditions for the issuance of interim orders such as freezing orders, disclosure orders and gagging orders by Cyprus Courts within the frame of Cyprus proceedings or in aid of foreign arbitration and court proceedings.
Furthermore, he discussed the sale of ships and cargo through the Court process as well as issues concerning the determination of priorities between various types of claims.
The seminar was accredited by the Cyprus Bar Association.
