Lexpert's 2019 Zenith Awards gala ceremony was held on June 18, 2019, at the Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto. This year, the Zenith Awards were held in celebration of change agents in law. Cassels Brock is proud to announce that Robert Cohen and David Budd were honoured as recipients in the category "Redefining the Practice of Law."
Robert and David were selected for their work in redefining the practice of law to value mental health.
Despite evidence that mental health advocacy is both needed and beneficial for employees individually and organizations as a whole, law firms have been slow to embrace support for mental health within their own walls. At Cassels Brock, this changed in 2018 under the leadership of Robert and David. It was their genuine belief in the need to maintain a healthy organization – and bravery in discussing why - that led to real, firm wide change.
