Johnson Stokes & Master is pleased to announce the appointment of John Marsden as partner for the corporate restructuring and insolvency group.

John has extensive experience in conducting a wide range of litigious and non-litigious matters in the commercial and corporate context. He provides advice in relation to numerous industries including real estate, manufacturing, automotive, clothing, health, retail, heavy industry, technology, hospitality, farming and mining.

John joined Johnson Stokes & Master as a consultant in 1999. Prior to joining JSM, he was a senior partner in the Australian firm Finlaysons’ banking finance and insolvency department having practised in this area for over 10 years. The appointment of John as a partner demonstrates JSM’s commitment to continued growth in Hong Kong.

Earlier this year, the Guangdong Enterprises (GDE) restructuring deal, in which the Firm acted as counsel for the Guangdong Investments (GDI) financial creditors steering committee, won the "IFLR Asian Restructuring Deal of the Year", while the Thai Petrochemical Industry’s restructuring on which JSM acted also for the financial creditors steering committee was the runner-up. The nominations recognise the Firm’s outstanding expertise in restructuring in Asia.
