Managing Partner Brad Adderley speaks on investor-focused ILS panel

Appleby is proud to support ILS Convergence for the 14th consecutive year, reflecting the firm’s longstanding commitment to Bermuda’s insurance, reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) market. The firm is honoured to serve as the conference’s sole Diamond Sponsor for a second consecutive year, reinforcing its support for one of the most important ILS global gatherings.

Held at the Hamilton Princess from 12-14 October, Convergence brings together leading investors, insurers, reinsurers, sponsors, fund managers and service providers from across the global ILS and alternative reinsurance market. As the world’s leading ILS domicile, Bermuda continues to play a pivotal role in the development of innovative risk transfer solutions and the convergence of insurance and capital markets.

Attendees will once again enjoy the Appleby Coffee Bar, a popular feature of the conference and a hub for networking and discussion throughout the event.

Brad Adderley, Appleby’s Bermuda Managing Partner and a founding member of the ILS Bermuda Steering Committee that established the conference 14 years ago, will participate in the panel discussion ‘A Decade of ILS: An Investor-Only Reflection on the Evolution of the Asset Class,’ on 12 October. Alongside fellow industry leaders, Brad will explore the evolution of the ILS market over the past decade, examining how investors, managers and issuers have navigated changing market conditions, major catastrophe events, evolving structures and shifting investor expectations, while considering the trends likely to shape the future of the asset class.

Appleby’s Insurance & Reinsurance team in Bermuda advises clients across the full spectrum of insurance and reinsurance, from captives and start-up insurers to global insurers, reinsurers and institutional investors. Having advised on more ILS transactions than any other law firm in Bermuda, the firm is regularly engaged on the market’s most significant and sophisticated risk transfer transactions, while also providing the responsive, practical advice clients rely on in the day-to-day operation and growth of their businesses. Combining deep technical expertise with commercial insight and an unwavering commitment to client service, Appleby continues to play a central role in the evolution of Bermuda’s insurance and reinsurance industry.

Joining Brad at Convergence 2026 are Partners Matthew Carr and Max Tetlow, Counsel Sangheetaa Phary, Senior Associate Aleisha Hollis and Associate Milaun Perott.
