WH Partners will be supporting the IMGL Autumn Conference, taking place in Paris from 23 to 25 September 2026, with several members of the firm’s global gaming and gambling practice contributing to key industry discussions. The annual conference brings together legal, regulatory and industry professionals to discuss key developments shaping the international gaming sector.
On 24 September, Ewa Lejman will speak on the panel ‘Beyond the Standard Bet: The Rise of Unique Regional Products’, focusing on the growth of localised gaming formats and the regulatory challenges surrounding their expansion.
The day’s programme will also feature Donna Bugelli, who will speak on ‘KYC 2.0: Smarter Verification, Seamless Payments, Stronger AML’. The panel will explore the next generation of KYC and payment solutions, including how businesses can reduce friction during customer onboarding while strengthening AML compliance.
Cosmina Maria Simion will moderate ‘Regulating Innovation: Keeping Pace with Rapid Technological Change’, examining how regulatory frameworks can adapt to emerging technologies without stifling innovation.
The programme continues on 25 September with Joseph F. Borg joining the panel ‘The Global Expansion of Prediction Markets & Prize-Based Models’, where the discussion will focus on the development and regulation of prediction markets across different jurisdictions.
James Scicluna will moderate ‘Prediction Markets 2.0: Toward Regulatory Clarity in the Americas’, looking at litigation in the US, and evolving regulatory approaches on prediction markets in Canada, Argentina and Colombia.
Robert Skalina, Partner and Head of Czech & Slovak Desk, will also be attending the conference.
