Partner Chris Hunter sat down with the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) for a quick-fire interview in the summer 2026 edition of the Young ITA Newsletter. In the profile, Chris reflected on his career, shared advice for aspiring practitioners, and offered his perspective on key developments shaping the field.
An excerpt from the article is below.
What attracted you to international arbitration?
The international nature of the work and the opportunity to engage
with complex cross-border disputes. I was drawn to the combination
of advocacy, strategy, and the collaborative spirit of the
arbitration community.
What has been your career highlight so far?
Being involved in a multi-jurisdictional energy dispute that
required coordination across three different legal systems. It was
challenging but incredibly rewarding to see how the team came
together.
