Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio has been elected to serve as Second Vice President of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) for the 2026-2027 bar year. He will be CBA President for the 2028-2029 bar year. Amarilio was sworn in at the CBA’s Annual Meeting on June 25 at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Amarilio serves as co-chair of Taft’s firm-wide Appellate and Critical Motions practice. He represents individuals, businesses, and state and local governments before state and federal appellate courts in his civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. Amarilio serves on several bar association and charitable boards and is a frequent author and speaker on various topics.
