Montréal (Canada) - Neil Kravitz has been elected the new Firm Managing Partner of Fasken, effective January 1, 2027.

Neil's work on sophisticated public and private M&A transactions, financings, and board advisory matters has given him a deep understanding of the strategic and operational priorities facing clients across markets. As Firm Managing Partner, he will bring that same business‑focused, collaborative mindset to driving growth at Fasken, and supporting clients in an increasingly complex global business environment.

"The Partnership Board would like to congratulate Neil on his election to the role of Firm Managing Partner. We are confident that his strategic vision and business-focused approach will help strengthen our ability to support our clients' success across all the markets in which we operate," said Marie-Josée Neveu, Chair of the Firm's Partnership Board. "We would also like to extend our warm thanks to Clarke Barnes for his unwavering commitment and the leadership he demonstrated throughout his tenure."

Before joining the leadership team, Neil was the Co-Leader of the Montréal Corporate group and Co-Leader of the Firm's Cross-Border and International practice. Widely recognized as a highly skilled M&A and securities lawyer, he has built a strong reputation in complex cross‑border transactions and corporate governance. This experience advising domestic and international clients, including acquirers and targets, issuers, private equity funds and investment banks, has shaped his practical, commercially focused approach to leadership.

Neil obtained his LLB, BCL (Gold Medal) from McGill University. He is regularly consulted by securities regulators on legislative reform, and is a widely published and cited authority on securities law. He has also lectured on Securities Regulation at McGill's Faculty of Law.

He assumes the role from Clarke Barnes, who has held the position since 2025. Throughout Clarke's leadership, he has focused on advancing the Firm's strategic priorities, strengthening its market position, and driving continued innovation across the business.
