Our Venture Capital and Private Equity Teams acted for Undo, the Cambridge-based AI-powered root-cause analysis company, on its growth funding round led by Elsewhere Partners, a U.S. software private equity firm. The investment accelerates Undo's mission to give coding agents the runtime context they need for the world's most complex codebases.

Undo is an authority on AI-powered root-cause analysis, helping software engineering teams at top networking, database, semiconductor, and financial services companies solve complex code problems across development, testing, and production. Founded in Cambridge, U.K., the company fills a critical gap by giving AI agents the runtime context needed to diagnose complex software issues in multifaceted systems reliably. Undo will use the investment to scale its product development, customer support, and go-to-market teams across the United States and Europe significantly.

"We are ahead of the curve. Undo has spent years building deterministic, program recording technology for code failure runtime visibility, which has become absolutely essential with the rise of AI," said Undo Non-Executive Chairman Tim Parsonson. "This deal is a great example of the strength and depth of innovation coming out of the Cambridge ecosystem and its growing appeal to U.S. investors. We are very grateful to the entire team at Winston Taylor—their support on this transaction was superb, they were extremely responsive and delivered consistenly sensible and practical advice, making all the difference on a deal of this complexity."

Ross McNaughton, partner at Winston Taylor, said: "We are delighted to have been able to support Undo on this critical transaction. This deal is a testament to what our venture capital andlife cycle advisory practice is all about. We've worked alongside Undo since 2021, through several funding rounds, and it's incredibly rewarding to see them reach this milestone. Bringing together our U.K. and U.S. teams to deliver a seamless, full service transatlantic experience was central to getting this done—and it's a model we're seeing more and more as the best U.K. tech companies attract serious global investment."

The team comprised Ross McNaughton (Partner) and Oli Denne (Senior Associate) in the Venture Capital Team, together with Jonny Bethell (Partner), Bradley Vaiana (Partner), Bryce Bartlett (Senior Associate), Nadege Serna (Senior Associate) and Michael Smaila (Associate) in the Private Equity Team. Raymond James acted for Undo.
