The London Youth Games is a nine‑month celebration of sport, bringing together school and community competitions across 30 sports and 90 disciplines. Open to schools throughout the capital, the Games aim to strengthen communities and support young people's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing through sport. Their ambition is to be the world's largest and most inclusive city‑based youth games. Each year, the charity provides opportunities for more than 160,000 young people aged 7 to 18 from every London borough.

Throughout the year, the Games host a wide range of sporting events across the city. These include multi‑sport "hub" events and individual competitions, all welcoming both able‑bodied and disabled participants from London schools. Boroughs compete head‑to‑head, earning points on a live leaderboard as the season progresses.

The Games depend on a dedicated team of volunteers known collectively as the "Gamesforce". These volunteers play essential roles in organising and delivering both hub and individual events on the road to the Finals.

On 14 May, Senior Associate Christopher Jones volunteered at the London Youth Games ParaSwimming event, supporting race timekeeping and offering encouragement to the young athletes taking part. Christopher commented "This was my second year volunteering at this event, which is very wholesome and rewarding. It's inspiring to see the young people push themselves and support each other in being active."

Boult's involvement with the London Youth Games reflects our commitment to improving social mobility, a core pillar of our responsible business strategy. We already have a long‑standing partnership with the Sutton Trust, a charity that champions social mobility by helping young people access leading universities and careers regardless of background. The mission of the Games aligns closely with this work. As after‑school sports and activities increasingly become financially inaccessible for many families, the Games help ensure that young people across London can experience the health, social and community benefits of sport, no matter their circumstances
