Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Mark H. Evans has joined the firm's Toronto office as Of Counsel.
Mark is a corporate and commercial lawyer and trademark agent who advises clients on a range of transactional matters, including M&A, structuring, and strategic business initiatives. He brings a unique perspective shaped by more than 20 years of combined experience in law and software development, allowing him to translate complex technical concepts into practical legal solutions.
What sets Mark apart is his ability to bridge the gap between legal strategy and technical execution, his firsthand experience as a startup founder, and his pragmatic, business-oriented approach to risk. Before entering the legal profession, he spent 15 years as a software engineer and co-founded two video game companies, giving him a practical understanding of business operations and growth, which informs how he structures transactions and assesses risk.
Mark received his BSc from the University of British Columbia and his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
