Reinhart Shareholder Tomás Clasen was featured on the Milwaukee Business Journal’s “Table of Experts” roundtable: The AI data center frontier: Navigating the challenges and opportunities of Wisconsin’s data center projects.
Clasen spoke on the short- and long-term positive impacts of data centers in Wisconsin, as well as the factors that make the state attractive for data center developers. He also discussed how municipal zoning can benefit or deter developers, which can greatly impact potential economic growth across the region.
Clasen was one of four local thought leaders to discuss the latest trends and news regarding data centers. The other panelists included Tricia Braun, executive director of the Wisconsin Data Center Coalition (WIDCC); Michael Litman, professor of computer science, Concordia University Wisconsin; and Coleman Peiffer, senior manager of data center services, Alliant Energy.
A shareholder in Reinhart’s Real Estate Practice and member of the firm’s Data Centers Group, Clasen counsels clients on complex commercial real estate matters, including purchasing and sales, leasing, entitlements, construction law, tax incremental financing and conventional financing. He has extensive experience working with municipalities on land use entitlements and zoning issues.
