Charlotte Partner Jeremy Stephenson was recently honored by the National Business Institute (NBI) with a 2025 Outstanding Faculty Award for his CLE courses on insurance law and trial skills.
Over the past year, Mr. Stephenson has presented several informative sessions, titled "Insurance Law From Start to Finish," "North Carolina Civil Trial Skills," "Litigating Civil Cases in North Carolina from Start to Finish," and "North Carolina Human Resource Law."
In determining recipients of this award, NBI considers the quantity and quality of candidates' speaking engagements. In doing so, it examines several factors, including course evaluations. The organization provides continuing legal education to lawyers and staff, and its mission is to empower these individuals with the practical legal knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Mr. Stephenson is a skilled litigator and trusted advisor to clients, ranging from large corporations and global insurance carriers to small local businesses — and occasionally, individual corporate executives. Jeremy has extensive experience in matters involving labor and employment risks, including non-competes, trade secret protections, and all facets of discrimination as well as accommodation, policies, contracts, and trainings
