Farrell Fritz is proud to announce that partner Mark R. Ustin has been named to City & State New York’s 2026 Trailblazers in Healthcare. The annual list recognizes leaders in New York who are shaping health care policy, delivery, and innovation across the state.

City & State’s Trailblazers in Healthcare highlights individuals whose work strengthens the complex and interconnected systems that support public health and recognizes leaders across government, health care, business, advocacy, and law who are helping drive meaningful progress in health care access, policy, and delivery.

Mark has become a trusted advisor to health care organizations navigating New York’s evolving regulatory landscape. In 2025, he expanded his firm’s Albany presence, further strengthening its health care practice while serving as Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Section. His work has played a key role in protecting nonprofit hospice care, increasing early intervention access, and securing Medicaid coverage for emerging treatments.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mark provides pro bono legal support to medical students from underrepresented backgrounds who are committed to serving underserved communities. He previously held health policy roles in the administration of former New York Governor George Pataki.
