The Superior Court of Québec issued a decision on December 3, 2025 awarding Gowling WLG client Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks more than $1.4M in infringer's profits, over $400K in damages and $50K in punitive damages for copyright infringement.

The trial related to pirated versions of Dassault Systèmes' flagship SolidWorks product. It also involved parallel criminal proceedings against the defendants.
