Indian Wells, Calif. (November 12, 2025)- Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Gregory Oleson back to its Indian Wells office to serve as co-chair of the firm's Real Estate & Land Use practice. Mr. Oleson, who has more than 30 years of transactional experience, practiced with Lewis Brisbois for 13 years before spending just over one year with a California-based AmLaw 200 firm. He now returns to Lewis Brisbois to assume a national leadership role and to represent clients in matters involving real estate acquisitions, divestitures, entitlements, and development. Mr. Oleson's practice also will include advising lenders and borrowers on loan modifications and workouts, drafting commercial loan documents, and counseling corporations in corporate formation and governance.
In discussing his decision to return to Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Oleson described, "The firm's national platform was critical because I work with clients that are located throughout the United States. The ability to pick up the phone and call a partner in any jurisdiction is incredibly valuable to me and to firm clients." Mr. Oleson also noted the benefit of coordinating with attorneys across practice areas. "Returning to Lewis Brisbois allows me to serve clients in areas that are outside of my core competencies and to feel confident that clients are receiving the highest level of service from my colleagues. Coming back to Lewis Brisbois was a sound decision for me, but more importantly, for the clients. I am excited to be back," he explained.
Indian Wells Managing Partner Patrick Foley stated, "We are thrilled that Greg has returned to Lewis Brisbois and to our office. We are looking forward to the important contributions that we know he will make as a leader in the Real Estate group. Greg's talent and the depth and breadth of his experience will benefit our clients in California and throughout the country."
Prior to his initial tenure with Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Oleson worked as in-house counsel for a publicly traded corporation where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions in Latin America, South America, and the United States. He earned his law degree from Marquette University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Elmira College. Mr. Oleson is admitted to practice in state and federal court in California.
