Moore & Van Allen (MVA) is pleased to announce that Reginald Sainvil has joined the firm as counsel and will practice in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring group. Sainvil joins MVA from the Miami office of Baker & McKenzie LLP.

Sainvil helps domestic and international companies, fiduciaries, investors, creditors, and other financial stakeholders navigate complex financial challenges and leverage strategic business opportunities. He has a decade of experience in advising about bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, distressed M&A transactions, cross-border insolvency proceedings, and out-of-court restructurings. He also manages all phases and aspects of litigation of contested matters and adversary proceedings, from drafting and arguing dispositive motions to mitigating discovery disputes and leading settlement negotiations. In every undertaking, Sainvil aims to anticipate and protect clients from risk, safeguard assets, and identify solutions.
Sainvil belongs to the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Bar Association, Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, Federal Bar Association, Haitian Lawyers Association, International Bar Association Young Lawyers' Committee, and Turnaround Management Association.
For his excellence in the field, he was named a Chambers USA Associate to Watch for 2024 and 2025 and selected to the 2023 and 2024 editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America. He also participated in the prestigious National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges Next Generation Program in 2022. In recognition of his professional accomplishments in bankruptcy and restructuring law, Reginald was named a Blackshear Presidential Fellow in 2025.
Sainvil earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and B.B.A. from the University of Miami.
