Taft Cincinnati attorney Emily Cashell will be honored by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber as a recipient of the Civic Quotient Award at their Annual Leadership Center Celebration on Sept. 10. Each year, the award is presented to individuals who demonstrate a high civic duty through publicly facing work, going beyond influence at their workplace and demonstrating tangible impact for the public good. In celebrating Cashell's work and dedication to the Cincinnati community, Taft is a proud sponsor of the Annual Leadership Center Celebration.
Cashell will be recognized for her impactful work with the Immigrant & Refugee Law Center (IRLC), in which she has been instrumental in assisting refugee and immigrant youth settle into the Cincinnati area. In order to assist in the oversight of services for these populations, Cashell has become a member of the Board of Directors to more closely serve her community. In addition to her board service, Cashell has also taken on numerous pro bono cases through the IRLC, advocating on behalf of children, who were brought to the United States and have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, as they pursue a path for legal permanent residency.
