Arnold & Porter recently advised Vaulted Deep, a waste management company leveraging new technology for sequestration of organic waste, avoiding disposal in landfills or other environmental contamination, in its negotiation and entry into a long-term carbon reduction unit offtake agreement with Microsoft.
This deal, one of the largest carbon removal transactions ever signed, will enable Vaulted to deliver up to 4.9 million metric tons of durable carbon dioxide removal over 12 years, including through the development of new carbon sequestration facilities across the United States.
The Arnold & Porter team included Corporate & Finance partner Chris Willott and associate Noel Abdala-Arata, and Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Co-Head Stephanie Coutu.
