We are pleased to share that 91 members of the Hunters team have recently undertaken training to become Dementia Friends, as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a more inclusive and understanding community.
Led by theAlzheimer's Society, the Dementia Friends initiative is the UK's largest movement to change the way people think, act and talk about dementia.
Through a series of short, informational videos, our staff were able to gain a better understanding of what it's like to live with dementia and the small actions we can take to make a big difference.
By becoming Dementia Friends, our colleagues have joined a growing network of individuals across the country who are helping to ensure that people living with dementia feel supported, understood and included in everyday life.
Whether it's being more patient in a queue, offering a helping hand or simply showing kindness, every action counts.
This initiative forms part of our wider Vulnerable Individuals campaign: our firm-wide commitment to supporting those in vulnerable circumstances, as well as the people who care for them.
At Hunters, we recognise that vulnerability can take many forms, from capacity issues and safeguarding concerns to the impact of trauma or inequality. Our specialist teams are experienced in helping individuals and families navigate complex and sensitive situations with empathy and care.
Caroline Foulger, Partner in our Private Client department, commented:
"Understanding the challenges faced by people living with dementia is essential to providing compassionate and effective legal support.
"Becoming a Dementia Friend is a small but meaningful step that helps us better serve our clients and their families, particularly those navigating vulnerable circumstances."
