Partner Thomas (T.J.) Ferrante, a board-certified health care attorney and vice chair of Foley's Health Care Practice Group, will present at the 2025 Remote Patient Monitoring Summit in Las Vegas on September 15, 2025. Ferrante's presentation is titled "Update on RPM Reimbursement and Regulatory Enforcement Trends."
Remote patient monitoring solutions and tools have been shown to improve access and outcomes and reduce costs, but providers and vendors still face difficulties with complex regulations, sketchy reimbursement and uncertain patient engagement. When designing a remote monitoring offering, companies should explore the various financial opportunities and compensation models. These arrangements must be not only financially viable but structured to comply with federal and state compliance laws and regulations. This session will focus on the legal and regulatory considerations health care providers should assess when building and operationalizing remote patient monitoring arrangements.
