B&D proudly shares that the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) selected Principal Jayni Lanham (Baltimore, MD) as a 2025 recipient of its Rising Star Award. MCCA's Rising Stars recognizes "attorneys to watch" every year based on their professional excellence, leadership, and impact on the legal field and their communities

At B&D, Jayni provides clients with strategic guidance to assess risk, develop compliance strategies, and build robust legal and technical defenses. A co-leader of the firm's Occupational Safety and Health practice, Jayni advises household-name companies across industries on compliance with worker health and safety regulations, manages complex litigation and enforcement proceedings, and provides critical support following workplace incidents. Jayni also serves on the firm's Management Committee and previously chaired B&D's recruiting efforts. As part of her efforts to create an inclusive and dynamic workplace, she participated in the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity's Fellowship program.

Outside of the firm, Jayni maintains an active pro bono practice ranging from helping a displaced family reach a favorable settlement following a mercury spill to leading a team through a juvenile immigration matter.

MCCA will recognize Jayni and the other Rising Star recipients during its annual Pathways conference in September.
