Julia Ferraz-Cardoso has been appointed as Head of our Dispute Resolution practice, taking over from George van Niekerk, who steps down from the role.

Julia has specialised in litigation since the outset of her career, initially focusing on high-end insurance disputes. Her practice quickly broadened to encompass a diverse range of areas, including mining litigation, tax and gaming litigation, administrative law, and, most notably, corporate commercial litigation.

George van Niekerk, who steps down as Head of ENS' Dispute Resolution practice but who will continue to service dispute clients, said, "It has been a privilege to lead the Dispute Resolution team over the years. I've truly enjoyed the journey and those I've worked alongside. As I step down from the role, I'll continue focusing on my practice and remain deeply committed to our clients. I wish Julia all the very best, and I have no doubt she'll take on this role with confidence and grace."

Mzi Mgudlwa, CE of ENS, added, "I have every confidence in Julia's ability to lead our Dispute Resolution practice with excellence. Her experience, strong leadership, strategic mindset, and commitment to client service make her the ideal person to take the reins."

We are confident that Julia's leadership will continue to produce growth and provide the kind of exemplary service that our clients have come to expect.
