Manatt Entertainment Leader Jordan Bromley was selected as The Recorder’s California Legal Award Entertainment Lawyer of the Year 2025 winner.
Bromley’s profile highlighted his team’s service as pro bono legal counsel to FireAid for a fundraiser concert, which raised over $100 million for victims of the Los Angeles fires that burned earlier this year. “We drafted, negotiated and executed almost 100 agreements in under two weeks. But more importantly, we stepped in as Angelenos to support our community when it needed help most,” he said.
Additionally, Bromley discussed how the practice of entertainment law is changing, including with the increasing consolidation of formerly independent entities and artists as larger private companies purchase them as well as the rise of unsuccessful ventures in consumer branded products backed by celebrities, cautioning companies and artists to carefully evaluate partnerships before investing in them.
